Scary events are always scarier when you know someone involved. I talked to my great friend (best man in my wedding) Jason - aka Maynard - today. His sister Shayla, who I’ve known since high school, goes to Pepperdine University in Malibu California. The huge forest fires are actually surrounding the campus! Apparently the firefighters just line their trucks up around the campus to keep the fires at bay. One of the biggest dangers is probably the air quality.
