Brian and I did a fast and furious trip to Flagstaff this weekend. My husband, being the chivalrous man that he is, didn’t want me to drive by myself-mostly due to the fact that I am directionally challenged in new places and tend to wander aimlessly in circles freaking out. Why did we go to Flagstaff? Well, I am now officially a Zumba certified instructor. What is Zumba? Only the craziest latin inspired fitness craze ever! After 9 hours of dancing, (did you know you can sweat so much that you have salt mines on your temples?) I got my certificate and can officially start teaching this summer. Zumba is meant for anyone-so for those of you reading this that think you can’t dance–think again! You all have to come try it out! I’m so excited!

That’s all, just wanted to let you all know what we did this weekend.

Wanted to burn up the rest off the tape I had in our digi-cam so I decided to film my son for 30 minutes straight. He didn’t even acknowledge my existence but for a few fleeting seconds, however it was very entertaining.

For 15 minutes of the half hour film, he discovered the secrets of the universe (and I’m pretty sure perfected time travel but we’re too privative to understand) in a couple of over sized building blocks. I decided to make this 15 minute adventure into the silent film sequel. Oh, and the final production is only 3 minutes, so don’t fret.

…is what bwings us togevor toothay… MY BROTHER IS MARRIED! That’s right folks, my little bro got hitched today in Texas. They opted for a courthouse ceremony but will have a celebration for the fam later this year…hopefully in an exotic locale! I’m stink’n stupid way proud of you bro!

Oh, and here is a pic of my lovely new sis-in-law (Amanda), my gorgeous new niece (Miranda), and my brother too. Also, I threw in a pic of me pinning on my brother’s wings for “graduating” from jet pilot school. It was part of a really dope ceremony. Maybe I’ll post pics of the after party later…

Well my brother got his jet pilot wings (images of the event coming soon) and is stationed out in North Carolina. He sent me a pic of his dope new house today. The word is he and his no-longer-just-a-girlfriend (more on that to come) are going to rent this beauty while he trains to fly Harrier jets. Looks big enough to have a guest bedroom…hint hint. Never been to New Bern, NC before.

That’s right folks, it’s Kayl’s first Christmas and the kid made a haul (and we haven’t even gone to Christy’s parent’s house yet). For those of you interested enough in our son’s life to watch a 6 minute video, here it is. It is actually about 30 minutes worth of “real time” edited down to the highlights.

I was sitting here on Christmas Eve thinking about how it would be cool if it would snow. Although there has been some precipitation, nothing is sticking and that’s a bummer. Then I remembered last year around this time and how it was the most severe snowstorm in the past 50 years of New Mexico history. Check out the pictures I posted. For those of you that were here, get a cup of java, curl up with a loved one, and pretend we’re “snowed in” again.

Come on SAINTS! What the heck is wrong with you guys? Losing at home to the stupid Eagles?! Thankfully the Vikings lost (sorry Wes) and we still have a shot at the playoffs.

What needs to happen in the final week of regular season you ask? Here’s the scoop:

- Vikings need to lose to the Denver Broncos (whom I haven’t rooted for all season so they’ll probably lose just to spite me)

- The Cowboys need to beat the Redskins (which should be easy even though they don’t need the win - this will be the only time you’ll EVER see me openly root for those Dallas boys)

- My Saints need to win against “Da Bears” @ Chicago…which will be tough, I admit.

If all that goes accordingly, the Saints are in the Playoffs!!! Here’s to hope’n.
